Visual Identity
School project
2025
This visual identity was created for Smukfest — one of Denmark’s biggest and most beloved music festivals, known for its forested setting and unpredictable danish weather. Rather than treat the rain as a setback, the concept embraces it as part of the celebration. The core message is clear: “You can’t control the weather, so don’t let it control you.”
Inspired by the shifting skies above the festival, the design plays with dreamy gradients, soft shapes, and organic textures. Greys and blues are transformed into mood-setters — alive, emotional, and oddly beautiful. Rain clouds become playful design elements, and weather becomes a visual storyteller. The identity lives in that tension between rebellion and optimism — bold enough to dance in the storm, and experimental enough to turn it into art.
Built around the values: rebellious, experimental, playful, dreamy, and optimistic — this concept reflects how Smukfest adapts, celebrates, and thrives in all conditions. Because the weather might be wild, but the party always goes on.
