Rice n’ Shine is a refined and culturally rooted packaging concept for a range of rice-based products, including rice noodles, rice paper, and whole rice. The concept blends natural materials with clean, minimalist design to reflect values of sustainability and simplicity.
The visual identity draws inspiration from Japanese culture, using a limited color palette that nods to the Japanese flag—with bold red and soft neutrals—creating a strong, elegant connection to the product’s origin.
The product line is named "Yokozuna Rice", referencing the highest rank in sumo wrestling—a metaphor for the quality and excellence of the rice itself. The producer name, Rice n’ Shine, is a playful twist on “rise and shine”, while also referencing Japan as The Land of the Rising Sun and ties back to the Japanese flag.
